Let us tell you that today i.e. 8th October is the sixth day of Navratri and on this day Maa Katyayani, the sixth form of Maa Durga, is worshipped. On this day, wake up in the morning and take bath etc. After this, wear clean clothes and resolve to fast and worship the Goddess. Take while meditating. Now install the picture of Maa Katyayani on a wooden pedestal in a clean place. After this, light a ghee lamp in front of the Mother Goddess and apply kumkum tilak. Now offer flowers to Mother Goddess. Then offer red chunari, kumkum, red flowers, red bangles to Mother Katyayani. After this, offer honey to the goddess. At last perform Aarti of Goddess and chant her mantra.
