It is said in the Puranas that Hanuman was born on the full moon day of Chaitra month in ancient times. Therefore, on this date, Hanuman Jayanti i.e. Hanuman Janmotsav is celebrated every year. According to religious belief, Hanuman ji is the ultimate devotee of Ram ji, whose worship gives the seeker freedom from fear, anger, lust and negative energy. This time the festival of Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated on 12 April 2025 on the day of Chaitra Purnima.
On Hanuman Jayanti, some people only worship Bajrang Bali, while some people also fast. It is believed that by worshiping on this day, the seeker gets the special grace of Hanuman ji and all the problems going on in his family go away. However, during the worship of Hanuman ji, the devotee has to take special care of many things. Otherwise their fast breaks down. Rules related to worship of Hanuman ji
Charanamrit or Panchamrit should not be used in the worship of Bajrang Bali. If you offer Charanamrit or Panchamrit to Hanuman ji, then it may make you sin. Apart from this, your fast can also break. If you observe a fast on Hanuman Jayanti or worship Bajrang Bali on this day, do not consume salt throughout the day. If you eat salt on this day, it can break your fast. Apart from this, smelly things and tamasic food should not be made in the house on the day of fasting. According to religious beliefs, Lord Hanuman loves red color. But the seeker should not wear red clothes in his worship. Apart from red, black and white clothes should not be worn on this day. On the day of Hanuman Jayanti, worship of Bajrang Bali should not be done under or around the Peepal or Neem tree. This may make you feel guilty. The seeker should not lie on the day of fasting. Apart from this, do not disrespect anyone and keep yourself away from wrong things.
Worship method of Bajrang Bali
On the day of Hanuman Jayanti, get up in Brahma Muhurta and after bathing etc., wear clean clothes. Place a wooden post in the temple of the house. Install an idol or picture of Hanuman ji by laying yellow cloth on the outpost. Light a lamp of desi ghee. Take a pledge of Hanuman Jayanti with both hands. Tilak Bajrang Bali with vermilion. Also, offer sandalwood, flowers, fruits, perfumes, prasad, boondi, gram flour laddus, betel leaf and jaggery etc. Read Hanuman Chalisa, Sundarkand or Bajrang Baan. Finally, conclude worship by performing Aarti.
