Do not make these 5 mistakes during Shardiya Navratri
1. Mass liquor- One should not consume mass liquor even by mistake during Shardiya Navratri. Consuming tamasic food these days can anger Goddess Durga and Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth.
2. Do not cut hair and nails – Avoid cutting hair and nails for 9 days of Shardiya Navratri. It is believed that cutting nails or hair during Navratri can anger Goddess Durga.
3. Dirt and darkness- There should not be dirt in the house or darkness in any corner for 9 days of Sharadiya Navratri. It is believed that where there is darkness or filth, Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Durga do not come.

4. Insult- Try not to hurt anyone during Shardiya Navratri. Don’t argue. Avoid insulting anyone or making fun of anyone.
5. Black clothes- According to religious beliefs, black colored clothes should not be worn on any auspicious occasion or during worship. Therefore, avoid wearing black colored clothes during Shardiya Navratri. To get the immense blessings of Goddess Durga, it will be very auspicious to wear red, pink, yellow or green colored clothes on this day.
