What is said in Shiva Purana?

It is described in the Shiva Purana that the offering of Lord Shiva is very sacred and virtuous. In such a situation, the offerings offered to Lord Shiva must be received. This gives the seeker many times the result of worship. On the other hand, if a person insults Prasad or does not receive it, then that person becomes a partner of sin.

Rules of Shivling Prasad

There is no fault in receiving the offerings offered to Lord Shiva, but in the Shiva Purana it is believed that the offerings offered on the Shivling must be received. According to mythological beliefs, Prasad offered on Shivling is of Chandreshwar. Chandeshwar is considered a form of Lord Shiva, the god of ghosts. In such a situation, a person may have to suffer inauspicious consequences by receiving the offerings offered on the Shivling.

Can Prasad be eaten

If the prasad is kept near the Shivling, it can be eaten. It is forbidden to receive prasad offered on Shivling made of soil, ceramic or stone. On the other hand, if the Shivling is made of silver, brass or copper, then the offerings mounted on it can be received. This does not give you any negative results.
