Do this work on Ganesh Chaturthi-
On the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi, wake up early in the morning and take a bath. After this, install the idol of Ganesh ji at home or place of worship and decorate it well and then worship the Lord with full rituals. On this day, place the idol of Ganpati in the north-east direction of the house with proper rituals. It is believed that worshipping Bappa in this direction gives auspicious results.
Lord Ganesha loves the red color, so wear red clothes while worshiping and also use this color in worship. It will be auspicious to make Bappa sit on a red colored cloth. Also, dress the Lord in clothes of this color. Now use red flowers, fruits and red sandalwood in worship. Offer durva, flowers, fruits, lamps, incense sticks, sandalwood and vermillion to Ganpati. After this, offer modaks. It is believed that doing so pleases the Lord. On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, devotees must chant Ganesh Chalisa, Ganesh Kavach and miraculous mantras of Ganpati.
