Eid-Aul-Azha News: In various states of the country including Delhi, on Wednesday evening, the Moon of Eid-ul-Azha was seen, after which Muslim religious leaders announced to celebrate the festival of Bakrid on June 7. Dr. Mufti Mukarram Ahmed, the royal Imam of Fatehpuri Mosque at Chandni Chowk, said that the moon was clearly visible from his mosque in the evening. He said that apart from this, the moon has been confirmed from different states of the country including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana. Mufti said, “The festival of Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on June 7.
He said that Eid-ul-Zuha or Azha or Bakrid, Eid ul Fitr is celebrated two months after nine days. The Islamic calendar consists of 29 or 30 days which depend on the moon appearance. Jama Masjid’s royal Imam Syed Shaban Bukhari said in a statement that after seeing the moon in different states of the country, the Chand Samiti of the Mosque announced the celebration of Bakrid festival on June 7 (Saturday). According to Bukhari, on 29 May, the last month of the Islamic calendar is the first date of ‘Zil Hija’. At the same time, Muslim organization Bhawan-e-Sharia Hind also said that the moon has been confirmed from different parts of the country and the festival of sacrifice will be celebrated on June 7.
According to Islamic belief, Prophet Ibrahim was going to sacrifice his son Ismail in the path of Allah on the same day, then Allah gave life to his son and there was a sacrifice of an animal, in memory of which this festival is celebrated. In the three -day festival, people of the Muslim community sacrifice animals according to their status, which have not been banned under Indian laws. Mufti Mukarram said, “People of the Muslim community who have about 612 grams of silver or have its equal money or any other goods are eligible to sacrifice.
