Fourth day of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha: God takes incarnation to protect devotees

Prayagraj, Amrit thoughts. On the fourth day of the ongoing Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Nagar Panchayat Koraon, Swami Ashish Maharaj gave a poignant description of Lord Krishna’s child pastimes. During the story, he said that God descended to protect his devotees in every era.

In the story, Sri Krishna explained the episodes of Putna Slaughter, Govardhan Mountains, and Sudama in Sandipan Ashram in detail. Swamiji said that Kansa made several attempts to kill Shri Krishna in his childhood, but each time Shri Krishna not only protected himself from his divine power, but also brought his devotees from the crisis.

Amazing episode of cursed gram and Sudama’s friendship: Swamiji narrated the context of Sandipan Ashram and said that once Gurumata gave gram to Krishna and Sudama. When both went to the forest, Sudama ate that gram alone. The feeling behind this was that the gram was cursed. “Sudama thought that if Shri Krishna ate this gram, he will become poor. As a Brahmin, I will go on life with alms, but my friend does not suffer -this is the same friend religion.” On hearing this incident, the devotees became emotional and there was peace in the pandal for some time.

Govardhan Parvat and Indra episode tied Saman: When Swamiji narrated the episode of Govardhan Puja and Indra, he told that Lord Shri Krishna picked up Govardhan mountain on one finger and protected the Gwalas and Govardhanis. On this episode, the pandal echoed with applause and Jai Shri Krishna’s Jayaghosh.

Citizens gathered crowds: The judge of the story was Saron Devi. Dhanshyam Das Keshari, Dharmendra Keshari and a large number of townspeople and devotees were present in the event. The story site is decorated with flowers and religious tableaux. Local devotees are participating extensively every day.
