Lucknow, Amrut Vichar: Ganpati worship has begun in the city with the beats of drums. On Sunday, in the Ganesh Mahotsav being organised by Ganesh Prakatya Committee at Jhulelal Vatika, Acharyas from Ayodhya Varanasi worshipped Mangalmoorti with mantras. With chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya, devotees welcomed Ganpati in pandals and temples. A series of different types of events have begun in the pandals for the devotees. There was a huge crowd of devotees at Jhulelal Vatika. The children who came here enjoyed the swings and tasted various delicacies. Ganpati was worshipped in homes too with Mangal Aarti.

Cultural programmes were held at Jhulelal Vatika on Sunday evening under the direction of Sanjay Sharma from Kolkata and Sidhu Maharaj from Lucknow. Sanjay Sharma started the bhajan with ‘Ganpati ka darbar pyara lagta hai’ and cheers for Bappa echoed. In the next sequence of the bhajan when he sang ‘Slavery of Seths will take away your sleep, slavery of Ganpati will make your work successful’, people present in the pandal started moving around. He also sang another bhajan ‘By chanting the great mantra Ganpati, Ganraj comes, by chanting this all tasks are accomplished.
How does Lord Shri Ram reside in Hanuman’s heart?
The dance drama ‘Ram Bhakt Hanuman’ was staged. It showed how Lord Rama resides in Hanuman’s heart and how the name of Rama is present in his body. Later, the dance programme proceeded under the direction of Sidhu Maharaj. The dance was directed by Anupama Shrivastava of Bhatkhande. Under the direction of Anupama, her disciples performed Ganesh Vandana, Shiv Tandava, Chamunda and Hanuman Chalisa. Artists Bhanavi Shrivastava, (Kathak), Samridhi Shrivastava, Swarnima, Vashinka, Aarohi, Alka, Anamika, Sanchayita, Mimansa, Shruti, Aardhya Singh were on the stage.
Gajra will be offered to Bappa today
Patron of the committee Bharat Bhushan Gupta said that on the third day of Ganesh festival on Monday, a garland will be offered to Bappa. He said that the people of the committee will offer garlands to Bappa. In Ashbagh Jalkal Colony, the Ganesh Seva Samiti Jal Sansthan started the fifth Ganesh festival on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi in Jalkal Colony. The idol installation program was completed under the direction of Pandit Lalit Mishra amidst the chanting of Ganpati rakho meri laaj pooran kijo mere kaaj… and Vedic mantras. At the time of idol installation, the pandal echoed with the chanting of Ganpati Bappa Moriya. Along with the installation of the idol, the devotees prayed to Ganesh and prayed for happiness and prosperity from Riddhi-Siddhi. Program coordinator Anamika Mishra said that this time, keeping special care of the environment, the local sculptor has made an idol painted with red soil and natural colors, which is eco-friendly. In the evening, a bhajan evening was organized under the cultural program. In which the women’s group of Itauja presented their presence at the feet of Vigraharta Ganesh by presenting bhajans.
Dance competition organized
A dance competition was organized by Ganesh Utsav Mandal at Ram Manohar Lohia Lawn Chowk on Sunday in which children between 5 and 15 years of age participated. The winning participants were awarded on this occasion. Mangal Aarti was performed at the Sanskrutik Jagrook Seva Samiti, Batashe Wali Gali, Aminabad and prayers were offered for the welfare of the water.

Special swings have been set up for women and children in the fair. Apart from this, food zone, kids zone, game zone, shopping zone, live dance drama and bhajan programs, celebrity singers are the main attractions. General Secretary Satish Agrawal said that Shringar and Aarti will take place daily at 10 am and 6 pm. All devotees can participate in it. Apart from this, Darshan of the King of Wishes will be available daily from 10 am to 5 pm and 6 pm to 10 pm.
