Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Like every year, this year too Ganpati Bappa is going to come to earth from Kailash for 10 days. Coming among the devotees, he will relieve them of their troubles and provide them with happiness and prosperity. These 10 Ganeshas are very special for the devotees. Everyone worships the Lord with full devotion. According to the Hindu calendar, the month of Bhadrapada is considered very important in Sanatan Dharma. Many major fasts and festivals come in this month. One of these is Ganesh Chaturthi, which is celebrated on the Chaturthi date of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month. If you are installing Ganpati Bappa for the first time, then you have to take special care of some things.
Know what to do-
Selection of idol- If you choose an idol of Lord Ganesha for Ganesh Chaturthi, then keep the trunk in mind while choosing the Ganesha idol. It is very auspicious to bring an idol with a trunk bent towards the left. Apart from this, bringing a sitting Ganesha idol is a symbol of happiness and prosperity. It is very difficult to worship an idol with a trunk bent towards the right.
Form- While bringing the idol, take special care that one hand of the idol should be in blessing posture and the other hand should be holding modak.
Direction of installation- While installing Lord Ganesha, place the idol in the north-east direction. The face of this idol should be towards the north. While installing, take a clean stool, spread a cloth on it and then install the idol.
Puja Vidhi- After installing the idol, bathe Lord Ganesha with pure Gangajal and offer rice to the idol. Install Riddhi and Siddhi along with Lord Ganesha. Place a vessel filled with water on the right side of the idol. After this, worship Lord Ganesha with flowers and rice in your hand.
Bhog and Worship: Offer fruits, flowers, and sweets to Lord Ganesha. Ganeshji loves modaks the most, so definitely offer it. Chant the infallible mantra of Lord Ganesha and complete the puja by performing aarti.
