Barabanki, Amrit Vichar. The festival of Lord Shri Ganesh is starting from Shukla Paksha Chaturthi of Bhadon month i.e. today, Saturday. This festival will continue till Anant Chaturdashi on 17th September. This time the Ganesh festival will be celebrated from 7th to 17th September. The idols of Ganpati Bappa will be immersed after the puja on the last day.
Preparations for Ganeshotsav continued till late night in homes and in the pandals. Lord Ganesha’s idols will be installed in Brahmayoga with due rituals. Along with cultural programs, many other religious programs will be held in the pandal. The market is also very lively due to this festival. This time, Vighnaharta will sit in Brahmayoga and remove the troubles of all his devotees and bless them with happiness and prosperity.
Astrologer Pandit Akhilesh Chandra Shastri said that Sarvartha Siddhi Yog will also prevail on the day of installation. Also, on this day, Sun and Mercury will be present together in Leo, due to which Budhaditya Yog will be formed. This Yog is believed to fulfil all wishes. Ganesh Chaturthi is also known as Kalank Chaturthi. On this day, Lord Ganesha cursed the moon. One should not look at the moon in the sky on this Chaturthi. Looking at the moon on this day brings a stigma.
The idols of Lord Ganesha will be installed at home and in the event pandal today. The preparations were completed by the organizing committee till late evening. On Saturday morning, the organizers will install the idol with due rituals and will perform pooja-paath for ten days. In the night, along with cultural programs, jaagaran, bhajan-kirtan, magic etc. will also be organized. On the last day, 17th September, a grand immersion procession will start from all the event venues. Which will be immersed in various canals, rivers and ponds of the district.
There will be police surveillance at all the venues every day. Crowds were also seen in the market for Ganeshotsav. Devotees were seen buying beautiful idols of Lord Ganesha for installation in their homes and taking them home with great devotion and love. The glow of Ganeshotsav is being seen in Fatehpur, Ramnagar, Haidergarh, Ramsanehi Ghat, Sirauli Gauspur tehsil areas.
Method of worship
On Ganesh Chaturthi, after taking a bath in the morning, sit on the seat facing north where you want to install the Ganesh idol. Then install the Ganesh idol. After this, offer the puja material to him as per the rituals and chant the mantra Om Gan Ganpataye Namo Namah. Offer laddus and distribute prasad to everyone after performing aarti. Do offer durva to Ganesh ji.

For the Ganpati festival, Shri Vighnaharta Seva Samiti has installed a grand statue of Lord Ganesha in the premises of the Nagar Palika Parishad. A plan for daily programs has been prepared in the organizing pandal. The committee members said that after the installation of the statue of Lord Ganesha at 12 noon, Harinam Sankirtan will be held at 2 pm and a huge jagran will be held at 9 pm. In which Pankaj Nigam will be the main singer.
Soni Sharma and Rajan Rastogi will sing bhajans. The next day on Sunday, there will be Sunderkand Paath at 2 pm and then a dance and singing competition at 7 pm. After this, Maha Aarti will be performed. On Monday morning at 9 am, after Sri Satya Narayan Katha, there will be a bhandaara with immersion worship and havan at 12 noon. And the immersion procession will start at 3 pm.
