Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: With the arrival of Gajanan, the king of wishes, the 10 day long festival began on Saturday. The remover of obstacles has appeared in every home along with the air-conditioned buildings and various pandals of the capital. Huge crowds of devotees have started gathering in the pandals since the evening. The Ganesh festival has begun in Jhulelal Vatika situated on the banks of Gomti by the Ganesh Prakatya Committee. The idols of Lord Ganesha have been installed in homes and pandals accompanied by drums.

Bharat Bhushan Gupta, patron of Ganesh Utsav Committee at Jhulelal Vatika, said that every day something new is organized for Lord Ganesha. The idol was installed with mantras by other acharyas of Ayodhya, Varanasi under the guidance of Pt. Kaushal Pandey of Varanasi. Here, Akhilesh Bansal sat with his family in the pooja as the host. At the time of idol installation, the pandal echoed with the chants of Ganpati Bappa Moriya. In the evening, cultural programs were conducted under the direction of Sanjay Sharma of Kolkata and Sidhu Maharaj of Lucknow. Sanjay Sharma started the bhajan with Ganpati rakho meri laaj.. After that, when he sang Gauri Nandan tera vandan.., the pandal echoed with the chants of Bappa. In the same sequence, he sang Ghar mein padharo Gajanan.. and Mere laadle Ganesh pyare pyare..

Pandal decorated with chaat-food and ice-cream shops
Apart from this, a large number of shops have been set up. Counters of chaat, fast-food and ice-cream have been set up. Special types of swings have been set up for women and children. Apart from this, food zone, kids zone, game zone, shopping zone, live programs, dance drama and bhajans, singer celebrity are the main attractions. According to General Secretary Satish Agarwal, Shringar and Aarti will be held daily at 10 am and 6 pm. All devotees can participate in it. Apart from this, Darshan of the King of Wontons will be held daily from 10 am to 5 pm and 6 pm to 10 pm. On this occasion, Committee Chairman Ghanshyamdas Agarwal, Vice President and Councilor Ranjit Singh, Sanjay Singh Gandhi, Deshraj Agarwal, Jaikaran Singh, Mukesh Shukla, Mukesh Jindal, Sharad Agarwal, Yogesh Bansal, Ajay Agarwal, Atul Bansal, Nilesh Agarwal Tata, Ramshankar Verma, Naresh Agarwal, Gopal Agarwal, Vinod Agarwal, Sudhanshu Batham, Rohit Agarwal were present.
Devotees can write letters of wishes
Bharat Bhushan Gupta of the committee said that there is a tradition of writing letters to Ganesh ji by the devotees who come for worship. Last year 82,000 devotees had written letters. It is believed that the letters written to Gajanan fulfil the wishes. Letters can be written to the king of wishes daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
Ganesh Puja has started in Shivala Sankata Devi temple of Chaupatia. Shubh Sanskar Samiti president Laxmikant Pandey said that the puja was started by installing a metal idol. Apart from this, a crowd of devotees has started gathering for darshan and puja in Akshayvar Mal Park of Badshah Bagh Paper Mill Colony. The theme of the puja pandal has been kept on the lines of Jagannath Dham. The pandal has been decorated exactly like the Jagannath Dham temple. Apart from this, Ganpati of Raja Chowk of Lucknow was seated in Ram Manohar Lohia Lawn. On the installation, flag worship was done and Bappa was worshipped and aarti was done. IBJA Chowk president and Ganesh Pujan Samiti official Umesh Patil said that the installation was done by Puja President Vikas Patil and his wife Laxmi Patil. During this, BJP state minister Shiv Bhushan Singh started the puja by breaking a coconut. Tableau will be presented by Nirmal Shukla.

– Organised by the local Ganesh Puja committee at Patrakarpuram Gomti Nagar.
– Event organised by Maharashtra Samaj at Katra Maqbool Ganj.
– There will also be classical dances along with various events in the Shri Ganesh Chaturthi Festival at Mausambag, Peeli Kothi, Sitapur Road.
-Shri Ganesh Utsav Mandal Aminabad organised an event on the theme of King of Aminabad at the Shiva temple located on Shriram Road.
