Rules for installing Ganesha idol:
Always install the idol of Ganeshji during the auspicious time of worship. The best time for worship and idol installation is during midday. According to astrologer Pt. Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, you can install the idol of Ganeshji today on 07 September from 10:51 AM to 1:22 PM.
Before installing the idol of Ganeshji, spread a red or yellow cloth on a small platform.
Once the idol is installed, do not remove it from there and move the idol only at the time of immersion.
After the arrival of Ganpati Bappa in the house, do not consume non-vegetarian food nor prepare such dishes in the house.
In Vaastu, bringing home the idol of Ganpati Bappa in a sitting posture with right trunk, sacred thread and mouse is considered auspicious.
Apart from this, while bringing the idol of Ganesh Ji home, ensure that along with the idol, there should be modaks in his hands and his vehicle mouse because Ganesh Ji loves modaks very much.
After installing the idol of Ganesha, worship him regularly in the morning and evening as per the rituals and distribute prasad among the people.
It is auspicious to place the idol of Ganesha in the east or west direction of the house. Do not place the idol in the south direction of the house. You can also place the idol of Ganesha in its north-east corner.
