When is Ganesh Chaturthi fast 6 or 7 September?
According to the Panchang, the Chaturthi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start from 3:01 pm on 6 September and will continue till 05:37 pm on 7 September. According to mythological beliefs, fasts and festivals are celebrated in Hinduism from Udayatithi. In such a situation, Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 7 September. On this day, Lord Ganesha is installed according to the auspicious time. The time for the installation of Bappa is between 11:10 am to 1:39 pm on 7 September and on this day, observe the fast of Vinayak Chaturthi.
How to observe fast on Ganesh Chaturthi?
-On Ganesh Chaturthi, take a bath before sunrise and wear red or yellow colored clothes.
-After this, take a pledge of fruit fast in front of Bappa at home. In the auspicious time, spread a yellow cloth on the puja platform and install Ganpati ji.
– Bathe the Lord with Ganga water, apply vermilion, sandalwood tilak and offer a garland of yellow flowers.
-Offer Lord Ganesha’s favorite Modak, light a lamp of desi ghee and chant the mantras of Ganesha ji.
Remember to offer food to God as per the rules and do the Aarti of Lord Ganesha in the morning and evening. And then offer the food. After this, break the fast.
