This year Ganesh Chaturthi is on 7 September 2024. Ganeshotsav starts from Ganesh Chaturthi and is celebrated till Anant Chaturdashi. Devotees bring Bappa with pomp on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi and worship him at home with rituals. Do Ganesh Puja at home with this easy method-
1. Devotees should first take a bath and then wear clean clothes.
2. Before installing the idol of Lord Ganesha, clean the puja room thoroughly.
3. After sprinkling Ganga water, install the idol of Lord Ganesha.
4. Apply tilak of yellow sandalwood on the forehead of Ganpati Bappa.
5. Light a lamp of cow ghee in front of the idol of Lord Ganesha.
6. Place a pot filled with water in front of the idol of Lord Ganesha.
7. You can fill the Kalash with coconut water and offer it to Bappa.
8. Wear a garland of yellow flowers to the idol of Lord Ganesha.
9. Devotees should offer Durva to Lord Ganesha. You can offer 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 or 21 Durva as per your devotion.
10. Offer sweet betel leaf to Ganpati Bappa. Also add betel nut, cardamom and cloves in it.
11. Offer Modak to Lord Ganesha.
12. Chant Ganesha mantras to get the blessings of Lord Shri Ganesha.
13. To get the blessings of Lord Ganesha, you can also recite Ganesha Stotra.
14. Now after completing the rituals, do the Aarti of Lord Ganesha.
