How to Perform Ganesh Visarjan 2024 at Home: On the day of Ganesh Visarjan, devotees bid farewell to Lord Shri Ganesha with rituals. Ganesh Visarjan can also be done after worshiping on the day of Chaturthi Tithi. But the day of Ganesh Visarjan on Anant Chaturdashi is considered the most important. Chaturdashi Tithi is the last day of Ganeshotsav. This day is known as Ganesh Visarjan. On the 11th day of Ganeshotsav, the idol or statue of Lord Shri Ganesha is immersed in a river, pond or sea. Ganesh Visarjan Date and Muhurat- Ganesh Visarjan is on 17th September 2024 this year. Chaturdashi Tithi will start from 03:10 pm on 16th September 2024 and Anant Chaturdashi will last till 11:44 am on 17th September 2024.
Auspicious Chaughadiya Muhurta of Ganesh Visarjan-
The auspicious time of Ganesh Visarjan in the morning will be from 08:38 am to 01:13 pm on 17 September 2024. The auspicious time in the afternoon will be from 02:44 pm to 04:16 pm. The auspicious time in the evening will be from 07:16 pm to 08:44 pm.
How to do Ganesh Visarjan-
1. Get up before sunrise and take bath etc.
2. Clean the place of worship.
3. Invite your friends or relatives for Ganesh Visarjan.
4. Prepare offerings etc. for Lord Ganesha.
5. Light a lamp of pure ghee and apply tilak to Lord Ganesha. Offer kumkum, laddu and modak.
6. Before immersion, perform the Aarti of Lord Shri Ganesh, Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva Aarti.
7. Now, while praying to Lord Shri Ganesha for happiness, prosperity and early arrival of next year, flow it in the water filled in a bucket or tub.
8. After the idol is completely immersed in the water, sprinkle this water throughout the house.
9. You can also pour this water into plants.
