According to the Drik Panchang, the morning Muhurta of Ganesh Visarjan on Friday, 13 September 2024 will start at 06:04 AM and will continue till 10:43 AM. The afternoon Muhurta will be from 12:16 PM to 01:49 PM. The next auspicious time will be from 4:54 PM to 06:27 PM.

Anant Chaturdashi is important for Ganesh Visarjan- On the 11th day of Ganeshotsav i.e. Anant Chaturdashi, the idol or statue of Lord Ganesha is immersed in a river, pond or sea. Before immersion, Vignaharta Shri Ganesha is duly worshipped and fruits and flowers are offered. The last day of Ganesh Utsav is known as Ganesh Visarjan. Devotees participate in this ceremony by chanting the name of Lord Ganesha.

Immersion can also be done at home- The idol of Lord Ganesha is also immersed in a bucket or tub at home. When the idol dissolves completely in water, then that water should be poured on trees and plants or in any clean place.
