When to wear a diamond?
According to gemology, wearing an octagonal diamond of at least 1.25 ratti on Friday in the Rohini nakshatra of the month of Paush is auspicious and fruitful.
Defects associated with diamonds:
Yavadosha: If the diamond has a spot as long as the size of a barley grain and a little thick in the middle, then it is called Yavadosha. In astrology, wearing white, red, yellow and black yava diamonds is considered inauspicious. It is said that due to this, financial problems may gradually increase or one may have to face other troubles in life.
Taardosha: If a diamond has a wire mesh like mica, then it is called Taardosha. It is believed that wearing a diamond with Taardosha can increase mental stress.
Peel Defect: If the peel is peeled off from any part of the diamond, just like the layer peels off from mica, then it is called peel defect. It is believed that wearing such a diamond leads to loss of physical strength.
Rough defect: If any part of the diamond feels rough when touched, it is called a rough defect. It is believed that wearing this gemstone can increase problems in life.
Gadha Dosh: If there is any kind of pit, big or small, then it is called Gadha Dosh. It is believed that this defect can have a negative effect on health.
Apart from this, spots, impurities, broken, circular, large or small angles, spots like specks inside the diamond are considered as defects in the diamond gemstone.
