Gonda, Amrit Vichar: There was a huge crowd of devotees in the Paska fair organized on Paush Purnima on Monday. Amidst the cold wave and cold, lakhs of devotees took a dip on the banks of the confluence of Saryu and Ghaghra located at Paska Sukarkhet, the birthplace of Lord Varaha, and worshiped Lord Varaha in the temple. First of all, the sages and saints who had been performing Kalpavas for the whole month, took a royal bath. After that the common people took a dip in the Sangam. During this time, a scene like Maha Kumbh was seen on the banks of Sangam.
On the occasion of Paush Purnima, a huge fair was organized on Monday at the confluence of Ghaghra and Saryu rivers in the pig farm Paska of the area. There was an influx of devotees on the banks of Sangam from early morning, which continued till the afternoon. Devotees from nearby districts and neighboring country Nepal acquired virtue by taking a dip on the banks of Sangam of the sacred Saryu river. Pig Farm Paska is known as a Hindu pilgrimage site. It is believed that Lord Vishnu had taken the form of Varaha in Satyayuga at this place to liberate the earth from sin. He freed the earth from sin by killing the demon named Hiranyaksha. Therefore this place became famous by the name of Sukar Khet. The evidence of this temple is also found in many Hindu religious texts. On Monday, lakhs of devotees worshiped in this temple with full rituals. In view of the fair, strict security arrangements were made in the entire Paska area. Officers remained present in the fair area and kept taking stock of the security arrangements. Police forces were deployed at every nook and corner for the safety of the devotees.
AYUSH department provided treatment by setting up a camp
The AYUSH department organized a camp for the devotees coming to the Paska fair and treated them. This 2-day free Yoga Ayurveda camp organized in the fair area was inaugurated by Chief Representative Pinku Singh. Yoga instructor Adarsh Mishra made the devotees practice yoga in the morning. From 8 am onwards, Ayurvedic medicines along with free Ayurvedic consultation were distributed to the devotees by the medical officers. Dr. Rajkumar Verma, Dr. Anil Kumar, Pharmacist Ramji Bajpai, Yoga instructor Adarsh Mishra, Praveen Tiwari, Devansh, Karunesh, Virendra etc. were present in the camp.
Earned virtue by taking bath at Saryu Ghat in Colonelganj
On the occasion of Paush Purnima, a fair was organized on the Saryu coast of Colonelganj on Monday. Thousands of devotees acquired virtue by taking bath. The process of gathering of devotees taking bath on the banks of Saryu started from around 6 in the morning, which continued till the afternoon. After bathing, the devotees performed Jalabhishek at the temple and also made donations. A fair was organized at Saryu Ghat in which women shopped extensively. Cosmetics, toys and sweets shops were set up in large numbers. Where fair goers shopped and enjoyed the fair. Similarly, thousands of devotees also took bath at Kachnapur Saryu Ghat, Kuti Ghat, Yamdutia Ghat, Sakraura Saryu Ghat.
