Gonda, Amrit Views: The police administration has made complete preparations to make the Kajri Teej festival in the district safe. On Wednesday, SP Vineet Jaiswal inspected the legendary Dukhharnath temple of the city and reviewed the security arrangements.
During the inspection, the SP tested barricading, barrier and cleanliness arrangements made in the temple premises. He instructed the officials not to be negligent in the safety, traffic and mob control of the devotees.
On the Kajri Teej festival, lakhs of Kawadia devotees fill water from Saryu Ghat and reach out to the major pagoda of the district including Dukhharnath and Prithvi Nath to do Jalabhishek. Traditional Kavad Yatra and Shobha Yatra are also taken out during this period. In view of the huge crowd, the police has prepared a route diversion plan, so that smooth routes can be provided for the Kanwari and the traffic is not disrupted.
The SP said that during the festival, a sufficient number of police and women police forces have been imposed on duty. Additional CCTV cameras are being installed in major pagoda and congested areas, as well as drone cameras will be used for monitoring. Anti-Romio teams will also be deployed to protect women devotees.
Apart from this, joint teams of policemen and women police will also be set up in plain clothes for mob control. Mixed populated areas and procession routes will be constantly monitored, so that the festival can be concluded in a peaceful and safe environment.
