Bareilly, Amrit thoughts. On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri, there was an influx of devotees from dawn in the pagoda of Bareilly. The whole city became Shivamay with the shouts of “Bam Bum Bhole” and “Har Har Mahadev”. The process of Jalabhishek in all the Nath temples, including the Alakhnath temple, started from Tuesday night itself.
Crowds of devotees gathered in pagoda
The queues of devotees started in the Alakhnath temple from midnight. The Trivatinath temple was decorated grandly with colorful flowers and lights, where Jalabhishek started at three o’clock in the morning. Devotees from Vankhandinath, Tapeshwar Nath, Madhinath, Dhopeshwar Nath and Pashupatinath temples also arrived with Ganga water from night and performed Jalabhishek on Shivling.
Grand preparations for Shiva procession
A grand procession of Lord Shiva will be taken out on Wednesday. The major tricks and intersections are decorated with flowers and lights to welcome it.
Amazing decoration of the city
This time on Mahashivaratri, the city has been decorated so grandly for the first time:
– BDA installed Shiva idol in the exhibition city and conducted beautiful lighting.
– The Railway Junction route was illuminated by the Hotel Association.
– The Builders Association planted flowering saplings on the big bypass.
– Gandhi Udyan Marg was specially decorated by the IMA.
– Industrial Trade and Chambers of Commerce Association increased the beauty of Shahjahanpur Marg and Jhumka intersection.
– Many places including selection point, DDipuram, Dharmakanta Square, Delapir, Badaun Road Swagat Gate were decorated in an attractive manner.
