The sixteen phases of the Moon are Amrit, Manada, Pushp, Pushti, Tushti, Dhruti, Shashani, Chandrika, Kanti, Jyotsna, Shri, Preeti, Angada, Purna, Purnamrit and Swaroopvastith. On Sharad Purnima, Mahalakshmi and Amrit Kalash, Sharad Dhanvantari deity appeared from the churning of the ocean. After the appearance of Goddess Lakshmi, she was remarried to Lord Vishnu. According to Hindu religion, there is a tradition of lighting sky lamps every evening from Sharad Purnima to Kartik Purnima. Worship method and solution
After finishing your daily routine and cleaning the house, sprinkle Ganga water in the house and take bath with Ganga water. Taking bath in the river on the occasion of Sharad Purnima is also considered auspicious. Take a pledge to fast. Light the lamp in the puja room. Spread red or yellow cloth on the post and install the idols of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi and Shri Krishna. Offer Roli, Kumkum, Akshat, yellow flowers, incense, lamp, naivedya, gifts. Light the eternal flame. Recite Lord Vishnu Sahastranam, you can also recite Shri Krishna Madhurashtakam, read the story of Satyanarayan.
