Kolkata Amrit thoughts | In West Bengal on Saturday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and other organizations celebrated Hanuman Jayanti amid tight security at many places. Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman. An official said that strict security arrangements were made to celebrate the ceremony in a peaceful manner.
Sources said that BJP and other organizations recited Pooja and Hanuman Chalisa at about 60 places in Kolkata. Hanuman Jayanti was also celebrated at various places across the state including Siliguri, Asansol, Purulia and Durgapur.
