The time after the beginning of Chaturmas is of worship. Various religious events and rituals take place everywhere. In the month of Sawan, many types of puja are performed including Rudrabhishek. During this time, Kalava is definitely tied.
This is not my thread. It is called Rakshasutra, which Panditji also chants while tying it. It is said that there is no evil on the person who has a Rakshasutra tied in his hand. Its tradition began when Indra was fighting in Dewasur Sangram.
Then his wife Indrani wished to conquer the Asuras and tied Rakshasutra in his hand and with its effect he won. This kalava protects us from evil eyes and negativity. Also, the grace of the deities also remains on us.
There are some rules to tie kalava
However, there are some rules to tie Kalava. Never tie your hands with bare hands. At the time when Panditji ties Kalava, if you cannot take anything in the hand, then at least he should keep it intact.
If possible, some Dakshina must be taken in the hand. After tying Kalava, this Dakshina should be given to Panditji. Along with this, while tying Kalava, you should have a handkerchief on your head or you can also put your other hand on the head.
How many times should we be wrapped?
Often the question arises that how often should Kalava be wrapped in hand? Remember that the wrist should always be wrapped in odd numbers such as 3, 5 or 7 times. Good luck comes in the gar, there is happiness and prosperity in the hour. Kalava should never be wrapped in equal number like 2, 4 or 6 times.
