If you are doing Puja at home, then we are telling you the method of worship of Ganesh Chaturthi. For this, on the auspicious time of Ganesh Chaturthi, install Ganpati in the north, east or north-east part of the house. Keep in mind that while installing the idol of Ganpati, do chant the mantra Om Gan Ganpataye Namah. Light a pen in the east direction of Ganpati and a lamp in the south-east direction. Now sprinkle Gangajal on yourself and chant the mantra Om Pundarikakshaya Namah, then bow to Lord Ganesha three times and take holy water and apply a mole on the forehead.
Now first offer water to Ganpati, then pour a few drops of Panchamrit, now sprinkle pure water. If you are installing a metal idol, then perform Abhishek of the idol. Light a ghee lamp in front of the Lord and worship him properly. Offer Jaswand flowers, Durva, Bhaiyaram, betel leaf to Ganesh ji, after this offer clothes, sandalwood, Akshat, incense, naivedya and fruits and also light incense.
