Do not do this work even by mistake-
One should not consume meat or alcohol even by mistake during Shardiya Navratri. Apart from this, eating Tamasic food is also considered inauspicious, doing so may anger Goddess Lakshmi and the person may have to face financial crisis. Apart from this, one should not cut hair and nails even by mistake during Navratri. It is believed that by doing this the Goddess may get angry and the person may have to face problems.
During Navratri days, dirt should not be allowed in the house and cleanliness should be taken care of. Apart from this, the house should not be kept dark. By doing this Goddess Lakshmi does not enter the house. One should not insult anyone during Navratri. One should not be heartbroken during this period. Mother may get angry due to this. One should avoid wearing black colored clothes throughout Navratri. Otherwise negativity may take over.
