It is believed that worshipping Peepal brings God’s blessings but at the same time, if a mustard oil lamp is lit under the Peepal tree during the days of Pitru Paksha, then the ancestors become happy and keep their blessings on the family.
During Pitru Paksha, if a mustard oil lamp is lit at the entrance of the house in the evening, then it brings blessings of ancestors and also brings happiness, prosperity and positivity in the house. Apart from this, the south direction is considered to be the direction of Yama, so it is good to light a lamp in this direction during Pitru Paksha days, doing so brings blessings of wealth. On special days of Pitru Paksha, if the picture of ancestors is worshipped and a lamp is lit in front of them, then Pitru Dosha ends and the ancestors become happy and give blessings.
