Ayodhya. Janmashtami will be celebrated for the first time on Tuesday, August 27, in the court of Lord Ram Lalla seated in the divine and grand temple being built in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram, for which the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust is making preparations with great pomp.
Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Ramlala temple situated on Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, told UNI here today that the birth of Lord Krishna will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 27, at exactly 12 midnight in the court of Ramlala situated in the grand and divine temple being built on the birthplace of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram.
He said that this is the first time Janmashtami is being celebrated in Ramlala’s court, for which the Shriramjanmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust is making preparations. He said that Ramlala will wear pink coloured clothes on that day. Shriramjanmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust’s president Anil Mishra said that this time preparations are being made to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami with great pomp in Ramlala’s court.
He told that after the Pran Pratishtha of Ramlala, this will be the first Janmashtami in the court of Lord Ram, in which Ramlala will be offered 1.5 quintals of Panjiri. Before this, 50 kg of Panchamrit will be used for Abhishek. Many types of dishes, fruits and flowers will be offered to Ramlala. The temple will be decorated grandly. Cultural programs will also be organized.
He told that Krishna devotion is also strong in Ram Nagari Ayodhya. There are several ancient Krishna temples here which are witness to the inseparability of Shri Ram and Krishna. Janmashtami will be celebrated with fervour in all these temples. He told that the festival will be celebrated for two days in Ayodhya. Devotees associated with the householder tradition will celebrate Janmashtami on August 26 and in temples that believe in Udaya Tithi, it will be celebrated on August 27. The preparations for Shri Krishna Janmashtami have been completed in Ayodhya’s Gokul Bhawan, Brijmohan Kunj, Radhabrijraj Temple, Radha Madhav Temple located in Rajsadan, Gurudham ISKCON Temple. The rituals will begin in these temples from Sunday.
