Jitiya Fast Date 2024: Jitiyaputrika fast is observed every year on the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month. This fast is mainly observed in Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. In Jitiyaputrika fast, mothers observe a waterless fast throughout the day and night for the safety, happiness and good health of their children. Jitiya fast is also known as Jitiya fast.
Ashtami Tithi will start from 12:38 pm on 24 September 2024 and will end at 12:10 pm on 25 September 2024.
When is Jivitputrika Vrat- Jivitputrika Vrat will start with Nahai-Khaay on 24th September 2024. Jitiya Vrat will be observed on 25th September 2024, Wednesday.
Jitiya Vrat Pujan Muhurta- Many auspicious Muhurta are being formed on the day of Jitiya Vrat. According to Drik Panchang, Brahma Muhurta will be from 04:35 AM to 05:22 AM. Vijay Muhurta- from 02:12 PM to 03:00 PM, Godhuli Muhurta- from 06:13 PM to 06:37 PM and Amrit Kaal will be from 12:11 PM to 01:49 PM.
Do not perform Jitiya Puja during this period- Rahukaal will be there from 12:12 pm to 01:42 pm on 25 September 2024. Rahukaal is considered an inauspicious yoga in astrology. Auspicious and good works are prohibited during this period.
Importance of Jitiya Vrat- According to religious texts, children get long life due to the virtuous effect of Jitiya Vrat. They get relief from pain and troubles. This fast is observed from Ashtami Tithi to Navami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month.
Paran of Jitiya Vrat- Paran of Jitiya Vrat will be done on Thursday, 26 September 2024. The fast can be broken after sunrise at 06:11 in the morning.
