Gangtok. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra concluded with the return of the tenth batch of 48 pilgrims via Nathu La Pass in Sikkim. Officials gave this information on Monday. Officials of the Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) welcomed 48 pilgrims on Sunday, and a ceremony was held at the successful completion of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025.
STDC President Lukendra Rasaili said that due to the dedicated work of the officers, about 500 pilgrims could be able to smooth. He said that the authorities made various arrangements for pilgrims in collaboration with paramilitary forces and other agencies and ensured that the journey could be done uninterruptedly.
According to Hindu faith, Mount Kailash is considered to be the ‘abode of Lord Shiva’, hence the ‘Kailash Mansarovar Yatra’ (KMY) is both religious and culturally important. A large number of people go on this pilgrimage every year. The trip has to climb under inaccessible conditions at an altitude of up to 19,500 feet, including bad weather and bumpy area and can prove to be dangerous for those who are not physically and clinically healthy.
