Delhi. India has appreciated China’s cooperation on the resumption of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra this year and discussed the progress about the process of flowing the flow of rivers and restoring direct airlines. The Ministry of External Affairs said here on Friday that on Thursday, Foreign Secretary Vikram Egypt met China’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Waidong who came on a two-day visit to India on 12-13 June.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, during the meeting, the two sides reviewed development in India-China bilateral relations since their previous meeting in Beijing on 27 January this year and agreed to continue stabilizing and reconstruction of relations with priority on public-centric programs. The Foreign Secretary appreciated the cooperation of the Chinese side to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra this year.
He mentioned the discussion of the special level mechanism for cooperation in the border rivers to resume the provision of hydrological data and other cooperation and expected progress on them. The two sides agreed to accelerate the steps required to resume direct air services between the two countries. The Foreign Secretary stressed the signing of an update air service agreement early.
Both sides also agreed to take practical steps for visa facility and exchange between media and think tanks. Both sides positively evaluated the activities planned during the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between India and China and agreed to facilitate it. The two sides agreed to organize some functional dialogues including economic and business areas to discuss specific issues of anxiety and resolve them.
