Meerut. The Government of Uttar Pradesh has made extensive security arrangements in four districts with the aim of conducting the Kanwar Yatra to be held in the month of Sawan in a peaceful and safe manner. Officials gave this information on Monday. The four districts where security arrangements have been tightened include Meerut, Bulandshahr, Baghpat and Hapur districts. According to officials, a total of 119 inhibitors will be installed on the Kavad road, about 540 km long, including 25–25 in Meerut and Bulandshahr, 51 in Baghpat and 18 in Hapur. He informed that the Kavad Marg has been divided into 57 zones and 155 sectors.
Police personnel deployment
Officials said that 19 Additional Superintendents of Police, 54 Jurisdiction, 265 Inspector, 1823 Sub -Inspector, 2574 Chief Reserve, 2860 constables and 1166 women policemen will be deployed on the route. He informed that 12 inspectors, 117 sub -inspectors, 175 chief constables and 394 constables have been deployed for the traffic system. Apart from this, 20 companies of Territorial Armed Constable (PAC) and five companies of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) will also be set up.
Relaxation sites and camps set up near the route for convenience
For the convenience of Kanwar pilgrims, 184 resting places and a total of 838 camps will be set up near the route, out of which 464 camps are proposed in Meerut, 176 in Bulandshahr, 90 in Baghpat and 108 in Hapur. He informed that additional vigilance will be taken in 184 mixed population areas on Kawad road. Officials said that special arrangements have been made at major temple sites like Pura Mahadev (Baghpat), Oughdhanath (Meerut), Brajghat (Hapur), Ambakeshwar Mahadev (Bulandshahr) and Sabli Temple (Hapur).
Optional route set for heavy and light vehicles
Alternative routes have been set for heavy and light vehicles to control traffic during the journey. Officials said that the administration has prepared a plan in view of accidental incidents and has been alerted to the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and local divers. He informed that the range and district level control rooms have been set up, from where drones and CCTV cameras will be monitored.
Inspector General of Police (Meerut Range) Kalanidhi Naithani said that the Social Media Monitoring Cell has been activated and quick action will be taken on any misleading or objectionable post. He directed that special deployment of women police forces should be done for the protection of women devotees and the establishment of khoya -an centers should also be ensured.
