Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Karva Chauth fast is observed on the Chaturthi of Kartik Krishna Paksha. The day of Karva Chauth is also known as Karak Chaturthi. This year, Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month is starting from 6:46 am on Sunday, October 20. This date will last till 4:16 am the next day on 21st October. In such a situation, according to the date of Moonrise Vyappini Chaturthi, the fast of Karva Chauth will be observed on Sunday, 20th October.
Astrologer SS Nagpal of Swastik Astrology Center told that this time on Karva Chauth, there will be Gajakesari Yoga, Budhaditya Yoga and Shash Yoga, the exalted moon is creating an auspicious conjunction in Rohini Nakshatra. On the day of Karva Chauth, newly married women should do 16 adornments along with wearing the wedding dress and there is a tradition of worshiping Shiva, Gauri, Ganesh and listening to the story of Karva Chauth. After moonrise, women should worship the moon, offer water and take water and food. The auspicious time for worship on this day is 5:33 to 6:49 pm. Moonrise will happen at 7:54 pm.
