Soron ji, Amrit Vichar: On the occasion of Kartik Purnima, devotees thronged the Ganga ghats to take a bath in the Ganga. Lakhs of devotees took bath in the Ganga at Kachla, Lehra, Har Ki Pauri, Kadarganj, Ismailpur Ganga Ghats, did charity and visited the temples.

Bathing in Ganga on Kartik Purnima has special religious significance. It is believed that bathing on this day gives the virtue of bathing in Ganga throughout the year. At the same time, donations made on this day yield manifold benefits. Due to this belief, people from nearby areas and other districts started coming many days in advance to take bath in Brahma Muhurta. The devotees who reached the Ganga ghats started taking bath in the Ganga from Brahma Muhurta. This sequence continued till late evening. A large number of devotees reached Ganga Snan by train, tractor, jugaad, bus, jeep and other private vehicles.

Did charity by providing food to the poor
After this, the devotees worshiped Ganga at Gangaghat, donated Dakshina to the poor and got benefits by feeding them food. On the occasion of Kartik Purnima in the pilgrimage city of Soron, crowds started gathering at the ghats of Haripadi Ganga to take bath. As the day progressed, the number of bathers on the ghats kept increasing. Amidst the mild cold in the morning, even small children were seen taking a dip in the Ganga water on the Ganga ghats resonating with the chants of every Ganga. The devotion of the people devout towards the religion was visible.

There was a crowd of devotees till late evening to take bath at Varahghat, Someshwar Ghat, Balaji Ghat, Raghunath Ji Ghat, Manas Ghat, Raja Ghat etc. of Haripadhi. After this, the devotees performed aarti of Goddess Ganga and offered prasad. After this, the devotees circumambulated Haripadi while chanting the name of Hari.

Devotees had darshan of God
He visited the temples lying on the parikrama route and sought blessings for the well-being of his family. A huge crowd of devotees had gathered for darshan in temples like Adivaraha, Shyam Varaha, Balaji Darbar, Raghunath Ji, Dwarkadhish, Manas Mandir, Panchmahashakti, 84 Hour Mata, Bhagirathi Ganga etc.
