Varanasi. Vikram Samvat 2082, Bhadrapad Shukla Paksha Purnima i.e. Khagrass lunar eclipse will take place on September 7. Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Administration has released information about the time of eclipse. The eclipse time in Kashi will be 9:57 pm to midnight 11:41 pm and Moksha will be 1:27 pm.
According to the scriptures, the Sutak period begins nine hours before the lunar eclipse and 12 hours before the solar eclipse. Although Shri Kashi Vishwanath, who is the lord of all the world, deity, Yaksha, Gandharva, Kinnar, Sur and Asuras, the sutak has no effect, the eclipse sutak dosha is valid for the public and animal.
According to the tradition of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the doors of the temple are closed about two hours before the touch of lunar or solar eclipse. According to this tradition, on the occasion of the lunar eclipse on September 7, the aarti and worship system of the temple will be changed on time.
