In this connection, Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and DGP Rajiv Krishna held an important meeting with officials of four states in Meerut. In the meeting, all aspects of security, traffic, hygiene and food security for the Kandar Yatra were churned and a comprehensive plan was finalized. Several rules have been issued regarding the Kavad Yatra. Violations have also been given a strict warning.

The meeting was held at the Commissioner Auditorium in Meerut to review the preparations for the Kanwar Yatra. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Manoj Kumar Singh and DGP Rajiv Krishna and senior officials from Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand attended. Officials of Meerut, Saharanpur, Aligarh and Moradabad divisions also participated in it. Some officers also joined Virtuuli.

The Kavad Yatra has started, but the devotees are expected to throng the Kawad Marg from 10 July. In view of this, the police-administration does not want to leave any deficiency. In the meeting, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh gave strict instructions to the officials and said that those who hurt religious sentiments will be strictly dealt with.

Important instructions related to Kandar Yatra

A inspector and six policemen will be deployed on every one kilometer on Kavad Marg. Big DJs will only be able to go to temples from the outer routes of the city. The Food Safety Department will keep a complete monitoring on Kanwar camps, hotels, dhabas. Cleanliness and proper drinking water will be provided for Kanwari. This responsibility has been given to the Electricity Department to prevent accidents from wires and transformers. The remaining 25% work of road repair on the 700 km long Kawad road should be completed soon.

Uttar Pradesh DGP Rajiv Krishna has issued many strict guidelines regarding the Kandar Yatra. Told that the height of Kavad will not be 10 feet and width will not be more than 12 feet. The voice of DJ Kavad cannot be more than 75 decibels. Legal action will be taken against those who violate this rule.

‘No group will check the dhabas’

Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh directed that drinking water and food should be ensured with cleanliness and purity. Permanent hotels, dhabas and Kanwar camps will be alerted towards cleanliness and cleanliness. The Department of Food Safety will ensure that pure vegetarian food is available everywhere. DGP Rajiv Krishna said that no group will check any shop or dhaba. The Food Safety Department has been directed for this work.

‘Kavad will not be higher than 10 feet’

The Chief Secretary and DGP said that Kavad and DJs are collected between Roorkee and Muzaffarnagar. It is the responsibility of the officials there that if Kavad is very high, it should be stopped in advance. The administration has fixed the maximum height of Kavad 10 feet and width 12 feet. The sound of DJ on Kavad will not exceed 75 decibels. It was told that the irrigation department has been asked to release balanced amounts of water in the canal and repair the Kavad Canal on time. The electricity department has said that the poles and transformers should be fully covered.

Prepare separately when the crowd increases

Officials said that talks have been held with all government departments and concerned officials of all states. Last year, the number of Kanwari was 4 crores, this time it can be more than that. A WhatsApp group of state officials has been formed. If the crowd increases in different places, then the authorities will be informed about it. Railway officials have talked about the Kanwari traveling by trains. No one will ride on the roof of the train. If even after the 23rd, there is a crowd in Agra, Bareilly, Moradabad, then the authorities have been given separate instructions for this. After the meeting, the Chief Secretary and DGP prayed for the successful completion of the success of Matha Teka and Kavad at the Siddhpeeth Oughdnath Temple in Meerut.
