Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: A meeting was held in the Collectorate Auditorium on Saturday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar on the preparations for Chhath Puja. The District Magistrate said that from the security point of view, it will be mandatory for children coming to the ghat for Chhath Puja to keep their identity cards around their neck or in their pockets. In which their name, father’s name, mobile number and address should be mentioned. For this, such identity cards should be prepared and kept at the ghats in advance. The people coming will fill the cards with information and put them around the neck of the children. So that lost children can be safely reunited with their families. The District Magistrate said that women should also keep a slip or card with their name and mobile number in their bag or satchel. So that if the goods are lost, they can be easily returned.
Additional District Magistrate Nagar East, all Additional Municipal Magistrates, ACP Central, ADCP Traffic, ADCP Market Khala, Additional Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Electricity, Police, Health, National President of Bhojpuri Samaj and officials of related departments were present in the meeting.
Divers will be stationed at the ghats
The District Magistrate said that keeping in mind the safety of the devotees coming for Chhath Puja, there will be arrangements for boats with divers at the ghats. So that immediate help can be provided in case of any emergency. Divers will be trained with the water police. The District Magistrate gave instructions to install displays on the banks to provide information about the depth of the river.
Ghats will be made zero waste, no garbage will be seen
The District Magistrate said that the ghats will be made zero waste for Chhath Puja. There will be compost pit for wet waste, MRF for dry waste and offering urn for puja material. Due to this, garbage will not be visible outside on the ghat. Also, devotees will offer havan and puja material and flowers directly in the Kalash. The Municipal Corporation will sprinkle water on the ghats, so that dust does not fly when women offer prayers to the setting sun.
Chhath Puja will be held at 15 ghats including Jhulelal Park.
National President of Bhojpuri Samaj, Prabhunath Roy said that on November 7, Chhath Puja program will be organized at 15 ghats including Jhulelal Park. These include Laxman Mela Ground, Khatu Shyam Temple, Hanuman Setu, Kudiya Ghat, Picnic Spot (Kukrail near Irrigation Bandha), Shaheed Path Ghat (near Stadium), Pakka Pul Tila Wali Masjid, Rastogighat (Chowk), Sainik Society Ground (Sarojini Nagar). ), Garbage Masjid near Shiv Mandir, Rajajipuram, Meena Bakery near C-Block, near the tank of Deendayad, Bholakheda Police Post Alambagh, Railway Crossing near Mawaiya, BBD College near Chinhat and Bholakheda Khargapur etc.
