Mahakumbhnagar. The beginning of Maha Kumbh-2025 became an experience like witnessing 144 years of wait, exclusive faith, immense devotion, joy-excitement and rising tide of emotions. With lakhs of devotees coming not only from the country and the state but also from abroad becoming the path of chanting, penance and virtuous salvation, it became such a medium to bind in the thread of unity which is impossible to be compared with any other event. The competition to become a witness to this intangible cultural heritage of humanity, to realize the virtues of one’s births and to become a witness to this greatest unique moment of human civilization on the very first day was seen at all the permanent and temporary ghats including the Sangam Nose of Tirtharaj Prayagraj. Here the emotional devotees were seen experiencing this pleasant moment with wet eyelids, reveling in devotion through their worship and worship method and getting drenched in the confluence of unity.
Indications of record crowd on the very first day
On the occasion of the beginning of Mahakumbh-2025 and the first bath on the occasion of Paush Purnima, a huge crowd of devotees from all over the world was seen in the fair area located in Mahakumbhnagar. These devotees seemed extremely satisfied with the preparations of the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh and after seeing the well-organized arrangements made for the Maha Kumbh festival, they were seen praising the double engine government from the top of their lungs. Two days before the bath, lakhs of devotees took bath and the immense enthusiasm of the devotees on the first day shows that in the coming 45 days, the crowd of devotees in Mahakumbh-2025 may be more than the estimate of the Uttar Pradesh government. .
Kalpvasis took bath and took pledge to follow the rules of Kalpvas.
On the occasion of Paush Purnima, Kalpvasi takes bath in the Sangam and follows the strict rules of Kalpvas during the Mahakumbh period and prays for the attainment of virtue, salvation, salvation and the welfare of the entire world. Kalpavasis pray for the welfare of themselves and their family members as well as for the welfare of the entire world.
With the beginning of Mahakumbh and it being Monday, the special coincidence of worshiping Mahadev made this moment even rarer and at all the ghats in the Mahakumbh Mela area, devotees were seen taking a pledge to worship Mahadev by taking a dip in the holy water stream. All the ghats including Sangam Nose kept resonating throughout the day with slogans like Har Har Mahadev, Jai Shri Ram and Jai Bajrang Bali Ki.
At the same time, immense enthusiasm for bathing was seen among ordinary household devotees also. On the very first day, a huge crowd from Prayagraj and surrounding areas including states like Bihar, Haryana, Bengal, Odisha, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh was seen at various ghats of Tirtharaj Prayagraj including Sangam.
Foreign devotees also became fans of Mahakumbh
An influx of devotees from India and abroad were seen at Sangam Ghat. The YouTuber group from South Korea was seen capturing various shots of the Mahakumbh with their cameras, while the tourists from Japan were seen taking information from the local guides after seeing the huge crowd at the Mahakumbh. On Monday, Sanatani devotees from various countries of Europe including Russia and America witnessed this great festival of faith and unity and also took a holy dip. Christina, who came from Spain, was also one of them, who after seeing the grandeur of the Maha Kumbh, praised this wonderful moment with her voice.
It is noteworthy that the kind of crowd that is being expected to gather in Mahakumbh this year is more than the population of different countries of the world. In such a situation, not only the foreigners were drawn out of curiosity to witness this great festival of faith and unity, but various saints and ascetics who had adopted Sanatan Dharma and had accepted Sanatan faith also blessed themselves by taking a holy dip of faith.
I have never seen such splendor before
In Mahakumbhnagar, people were seen very busy selling puja material and applying tilak to the devotees at the ghats near Sangam Mela area and Late Hanuman Temple. As per the wishes of the devotees, the retail shopkeepers selling Prasad, Chunari, lamp donation material and the people doing the work of applying Tilak believe that this time Mahakumbh is not only more divine and grand than the Kumbh Mela of 2019, but the crowd is also many times more. And this will also bring good income to them.
According to Pradeep Upadhyay, who was doing the work of applying tilak, he was doing this work during Kumbh in 2019 also, but this time there is more enthusiasm among the people than before. Similarly, Santoshi Devi, who is running a retail shop for worship in Sangam area after coming from Phulpur, said that people are buying the containers that store Ganga water the most.
