Amrit Vichar, Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation is committed to providing convenient transport services to the devotees coming to the Mahakumbh 2025 to be organized in Punya Bhoomi Prayagraj. Electric buses operated by the Transport Corporation will be available for the transportation of devotees before the main bath starting from January 13, 2025. The Transport Corporation will operate 07 thousand rural buses and 350 shuttle buses in the Mahakumbh area. During the main bathing period, the buses coming from the nearby districts of Prayagraj will be operated from 08 temporary bus stations located in the Outer Fair area of Prayagraj. The Transport Minister has given instructions to ensure ease of traffic for the convenience of the visiting devotees.
Information will be received every 02 hours
Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh said that crores of devotees are likely to come to the Maha Kumbh Mela. To provide necessary information and assistance to the devotees, a command control center is established and functioning at the headquarters. In case of any situation in the buses operating in the Maha Kumbh Mela, 24X7 assistance will be provided from the headquarters level to help the bus driver, conductor or passengers. Also, while coordinating with Control Room Jhusi Prayagraj, instructions have been given to inform the higher management about the information/updated status received at an interval of every 02 hours. He said that passengers can contact the Command Control Center for assistance on toll free number 18001802877 and WhatsApp number 9415049606. As much assistance as possible will be immediately available to the passengers.
