Prayagraj, Amrit Vichar. Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is providing world class facilities for the devotees coming to Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Apart from the city, a tent city is being constructed in the Kumbh area to accommodate the visitors. Along with the tent city, it is being considered to provide the facility of state-of-the-art sleeping pods for the first time. The Tourism Department has prepared a road map for this and if everything goes well, then this time the devotees can be provided the facility of sleeping pods.
Sleeping pod facility in tent city on the banks of Triveni
After providing the facility of sleeping pods at the Junction Railway Station of Prayagraj, now devotees and tourists will be able to enjoy sleeping pods with world class facilities in the Kumbh area also. Prayagraj’s Regional Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh says that a traditional tent city is being constructed in the parade ground for the devotees in the Kumbh area. Apart from this, two tent cities with luxury facilities are also being set up in Arail and Jhunsi on PPP mode. There is good response from tourists and devotees regarding the tent city. According to the Regional Tourism Officer, 1600 tents have been booked in the tent city with a capacity of 2000 tents in Arail. In this, a road map has been prepared to make 400 sleeping pods in the proposed second tent city in Jhunsi. Tender is under process for making sleeping pods. He says that there is a plan to construct them on PPP mode. Proposals have come from vendors for this but it will be finalized only after ensuring all safety standards. These sleeping pods to be built on the banks of Triveni will be provided with all the luxury facilities while meeting all the standards.

Luxury hotel facilities at low rent
Sleeping pods will actually be capsule-shaped chambers equipped with all modern amenities. These pods are prepared keeping in mind the needs of the devotees. The pod has all the facilities for the passenger to sleep comfortably as well as carry out his essential tasks. These fully air-conditioned pods also have charging and drinking water facilities. Passengers availing the pod facility are also provided with the facilities of cloak room, reception booth, washroom/toilet and house pantry. For this, off-line and online booking facility can also be provided.
