Mahakumbh Nagar, Amrit Views: For the first time in Mahakumbh, a camp of Northeast has been set up, due to which a large number of devotees of the Northeast are becoming part of the Mahakumbh. More than 20 saints from remote areas of the Northeast will take a Amrit bath for the first time with the akharas on Mauni Amavasya on Wednesday. Mahamandaleshwar Mahant Keshav Das Maharaj of Nirmohi Ani Akhara said in a camp named Pragjyotish Kshetra in Sector Seven, “On Mauni Amavasya, 22 saints from the Northeast will also take a Amrit bath with the Akharas. Most of these saints will take a Amrit bath for the first time. ”
He told that for the first time thousands of people from the Northeast are coming here due to the setting up of the Northeast camp in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. There is great enthusiasm among people to be a part of Mahakumbh. In this camp, all the major saints of the Northeast region including Prabhu Pitambar Dev Goswami, Padma Shri, Chitta Maharaj, are attending the northeastern region.
Mahant Keshav Das Maharaj said that the Northeast is known for the Kamakhya Devi temple. The replica of Kamakhya Temple has been established for the first time in the fair. Here the water of Kamakhya, Ganga water is being given to the devotees. He told that the Vaishnav tradition in the Northeast is very ancient which is operated by the Namghar tradition. For the first time, a name house has been established in Kumbh here. Just as there are temples in North India, similarly, there are namghar in the Northeast. This tradition was developed by Shankardev ji. There is a law of lighting lamps, kirtan etc. for this name and the nameghar has been established here with the same legislation. It will have a unbroken recitation of Bhagwat composed by Srimanta Shankaradeva great man. He told about this camp, “The name of North East is given by the British. Its old name is Pragjyotishpur. Therefore, this camp is named Pragjyotish area. ” Mahant Keshav Das Ji Maharaj said that Bambu Dance, Apsara dance, Ram Vijay Bhavna will also be demonstrated in this camp.
