Prayagraj, Amrit Vichar: A divine, grand event of Mahakumbh, the world’s largest religious and spiritual fair, is going to be held on the land of Sangam in January 2025. The Yogi Adityanath government of the state is busy in making major preparations for the Maha Kumbh to be held on the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and invisible Saraswati. The Yogi government of the state is preparing to present the Maha Kumbh to be held in 2025 as a polythene free and green Kumbh. For this, polythene has been banned in Mahakumbh. About three lakh saplings are also being planted. The government will also protect these plants.
Command of Mahakumbh in the hands of CM
The most important thing is that CM Yogi Adityanath himself has taken charge of the preparations for Mahakumbh.
CM is taking updates from officials regarding preparations. At the same time, he has come to Prayagraj several times to conduct on-site inspection of the schemes and give instructions to the officers. Yogi government is busy in major preparations for Mahakumbh. Yogi government under the leadership of CM Yogi had organized a divine and grand Kumbh in 2019. About 24 crore people came to the 2019 Kumbh. But the government is estimating the arrival of about 40 crore people in the Mahakumbh of 2025. In this regard, the government is busy in preparations. Work is going on on more than 5,00 projects worth more than Rs 60,00 crore regarding Mahakumbh. CM Yogi himself is continuously monitoring these projects. CM Yogi’s seriousness regarding the preparations for Mahakumbh can be gauged from the fact that he himself started the preparations for Mahakumbh by going to Prayagraj in November 2022. After this, CM Yogi Adityanath formed an apex committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary.
Work going on on 75 departmental projects
The Apex Committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of the state has held 14 meetings so far. Regarding the Maha Kumbh Mela, two types of works, permanent and temporary, are being carried out in the fair area. 327 projects worth Rs 5154 crore have been approved in the Apex Committee. Along with this, work is going on on 75 departmental projects worth Rs 1264 crore. CM Yogi Adityanath, who visited Prayagraj on October 6, has directed to complete all about 480 permanent and temporary projects related to Mahakumbh by December 31, 2024. To complete these schemes, 15 departments of the Central and State Governments are working with inter-coordination. A management system has been created to ensure the quality of the Mahakumbh schemes. Third party inspection is also being done.
Prayagraj Fair Authority has also created a state-of-the-art lab. In which testing is done at every level and the final bill is audited. Monitoring is being done through online software. Yogi government has deployed a team of experienced officers for the successful organization of Mahakumbh. Yogi government has once again expressed confidence in Kumbh Mela officer Vijay Kiran Anand, who had organized the divine and grand Kumbh in 2019. Many such officers have been appointed in the Kumbh Mela, who have sufficient experience of working in organizing Magh Mela and Kumbh earlier.
Parking arrangement for five lakh vehicles in the fair
The Yogi government of the state is preparing to organize Maha Kumbh- 2025 even better than the divine and grand Kumbh organized in 2019. For better organization of Mahakumbh, its area is being increased by the Prayagraj Fair Authority. There are also preparations to provide additional facilities in the fair. The area of the fair has been increased from 32,00 hectares to 41,00 hectares. The fair will be organized in a total of 25 sectors. Whereas six parking lots are being built in 1900 hectares in which there will be provision for parking of more than 5 lakh vehicles. 15 bathing ghats are being constructed for Mahakumbh. About 15 kilometers of Ganga river front is being built.
To make Mahakumbh green and clean, 1 lakh 45 thousand toilets will be built. The length of bathing ghats is being increased. The bathing ghats are being increased from 8 kilometers to 12 kilometers. Appropriate arrangements are being made for the devotees at the ghats. 488 kilometers of checkered plates will be laid for transportation. 45,000 street lights were installed in the 2019 Kumbh. This time 67,000 street lights will be installed.
There will be digital arrangements in the fair
For the first time, solar lights will be used in the Kumbh Mela. The number of circuit houses in Mahakumbh has been increased from 3 to 5. Along with this, the number of pontoon bridges is also being increased from 22 to 30. Public accommodation, motorboat, changing room, place of worship and floating jetty will be built for 25,000 people in the Maha Kumbh Mela. This time 10 digital lost and found centers will also be set up in the fair. For the first time, a permanent ghat is being constructed at the VIP ghat of Yamuna river. Along with this, a permanent ghat is also being built at Dashashwamedh Ghat. In view of the traffic problem, a 15 kilometer river front is also being built from Teliarganj to Sangam area. Along with this, dredging has also been done to maintain the flow of water on the ghats throughout the year. Along with this, widening and beautification of roads and intersections is being done in other projects related to Maha Kumbh.
14 flyovers and under passes are also being constructed in the city. Prayagraj Junction Railway Station and Airport are also being expanded. Six corridors are being built for the devotees coming to Mahakumbh. Akshay Vat, Patal Puri, Saraswati Well, Hanuman Temple, Shringverpur Dham and Bhardwaj Corridor are also being constructed. In preparation for Mahakumbh, 20 departments of the state government and four departments of the central government are busy in preparations. The work of allotment of land to Akharas has been started from 18th November. By December, land and facilities will be allotted to all the institutions in the fair. This time, special preparations have been made for allotment of lands and facilities through online software. More than 8 thousand institutions will be established in Mahakumbh.
A Traffic Advisory Committee has been formed to ensure that devotees do not face any problem in coming to Mahakumbh. The Advisory Committee constituted under the chairmanship of ADG Zone is working continuously. To make Mahakumbh plastic free, Dona Pattal and Kulhar will be promoted. Separate zones will be allotted for this. Supply chain is being created so that adequate availability is maintained. This time in Mahakumbh, a tent city of 2100 luxury tents is being set up at three places in April, Jhunsi and Parade.
Artificial Intelligence will monitor the fair
Extensive arrangements are also being made for the security of the Maha Kumbh Mela. From CCTV cameras to drone cameras and artificial intelligence will also be used. The number of police stations and fire stations already being built for the Maha Kumbh Mela is also being increased. Along with security, skill training is also being given to police personnel for traffic management. Policing in Mahakumbh is completely different. Therefore, policemen are being advised to guide the devotees coming to Mahakumbh and behave well with them. Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI technology will also be used for crowd management to send the crowd coming to the Mahakumbh back after taking a bath.
AI technology will also be used to ensure that there is no problem of parking and traffic jams due to the large number of vehicles coming to Maha Kumbh. Along with the police, PAC, RAF and other agencies of UP Police, UP ATS and UP STF will also be deployed to ensure that there is no breach in the security of Maha Kumbh. Along with this, NDRF and SDRF teams capable of dealing with any disaster will also be ready in the Mahakumbh. Mahakumbh will attract a large number of tourists not only from the country but also from abroad. In such a situation, central agencies will also be active in the Maha Kumbh Mela. So that the Maha Kumbh can be organized safely and securely.
