Mahakumbh Nagar, Amrit Vichar: In a unique initiative to make Mahakumbh 2025 divine and grand as well as equipped with digital facilities, Prayagraj Railway Division will provide the facility to devotees to book tickets through the QR code affixed on the jackets of railway personnel. With this initiative of Indian Railways, devotees coming to Mahakumbh will not have to stand in long queues for tickets. Besides, the railway administration will also find it easier to provide tickets.
Senior Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway, Amit Malviya said that keeping in mind the Maha Kumbh 2025, North Central Railway has made special arrangements for the convenience of the devotees coming to Prayagraj. Malviya said that during the Maha Kumbh, personnel of the Commerce Department of the Railways will be deployed on special duty at Prayagraj Junction wearing green jackets. These jackets will have a QR code printed on them, which devotees can scan with their mobile phones to download the UTS mobile app. This app will provide passengers the facility to book unreserved tickets without standing in queue. He said that this process of booking tickets through digital payment will not only save the time of the devotees, but will also provide relief to lakhs of people coming to Mahakumbh from the problem of standing in queues for tickets. Malviya said that railway personnel wearing jackets with QR code will be deployed at various important places in the railway premises, so that devotees will be able to book tickets easily.
