Extensive preparations are being made by the fair administration for smooth traffic and safe movement of devotees on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya Amrit bath in Mahakumbh. In view of the possibility of 10 crore devotees coming, the fair administration has instructed to control the devotees at the sector level. In this, clear instructions have been given that the sector or zone in which devotees are coming should be sent back from the same sector or zone. In any case, they should not be allowed to go to Sangam Nose or any other zone. All ADM, Additional SP, CO, SDM and Sector Magistrate have been instructed to ensure all arrangements by staying in their field.
Attempt to control the movement of devotees
Mouni Amavasya is the most prominent festival of Mahakumbh. All the arrangements in Mahakumbh are done in this festival. This time, in view of the efforts made by the Yogi government to make Mahakumbh more grand and divine, there is a possibility of presence of devotees in Prayagraj on Mauni Amavasya. The fair is the priority of the fair administration to make everyone smooth bathing with convenience. In view of this, instructions have been given that devotees coming to every sector and zone should depart from the same zone at their destination. The movement should be kept on minimum on 27-29 January at Sangam Nose or other zones. For the convenience of the people, a 12 km long ghats have been constructed. They are being encouraged to take a bath there and then return from there. Evaculation gang will be prepared to ensure that the crowd does not gather at the ghats. The ghats will have a safe withdrawal priority of the crowd.
Barricating and resource system
In addition, teams from hard barriers and barricades will be deployed to ensure 100 % controls such as ropes, loud heller, whistle, flying squad and watch tower. The presence and proper coordination of central forces will be emphasized at these places. Institutions have also been instructed to use it as a holding area and develop temporary parking areas if needed and at the same time arrangements will be made for night stay in institutions for mob control. The infrastructure of the ghats is being strengthened further. Casa, straw, sacks, river barricading, water police, watch tower, lighting, signage, toilets, changing rooms and sanitation will be ensured.
