Mahakumbh Nagar. On Tuesday, the number of saints, devotees, Kalpavasis and common bathing people who bathed in the Sangam at Mahakumbh Mela crossed the level of 45 crores on Tuesday. According to the data released by the government, a total of 81.60 lakh people, including 10 lakh Kalpavasis, took a bath till 12 noon on Tuesday and since January 13, more than 45.58 crore people have taken a bath.
According to the statement, the number of 45 crore bathing in Mahakumbh crossed at 8 am on Tuesday morning. Around 50 lakh devotees took a holy dip in Triveni Sangam till 8 am on Tuesday. It is likely that the number of bathing people can go above 50-55 crores. If we analyze the total number of bathing people till now, then the maximum number of 8 crore devotees took a bath on Mauni Amavasya, while 3.5 crore devotees took a Amrit bath on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. On February 1 and January 30, 1.7 crore devotees took a dip of two each and on Paush Purnima.
Apart from this, 2.57 crore devotees took a bath in Triveni on Basant Panchami. Even before Magh Purnima, more than one crore devotees are reaching the Sangam coast for a holy bath. President Draupadi Murmu took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam on Monday, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (including the cabinet) have also taken a dip in the confluence.
