Ajay Dayal, Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Like Ram Mandir, the ruling party and the opposition are face to face these days on Mahakumbh too. Earlier there was a debate regarding the darshan of Ramlala, this time the issue is about taking a dip in the Ganga. The big question is that after reaching this biggest event of Sanatan, will the leaders of opposition parties also want to take a dip in the Ganga? The big question is whether opposition leaders will get invitation to Mahakumbh on the lines of Ramlala Pran Pratistha?
In fact, under political circumstances, while the opposition is calling this event a wasteful expenditure, the ruling party is calling it a wonderful example of Sanatan culture. Politics even took place on the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony. At that time, BJP had thrown such a googly by inviting the opposition that it had created a situation of confusion for many of the allies of India Alliance. This time the situation is similar, just as all the parties included in the Indian alliance kept themselves away from organizing the Ram temple to appease Muslims, will it happen this time also?
However, as far as invitations are concerned, this time the opposition has raised questions on the invitation letters given to all the people including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah. In fact, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is inviting big personalities. In such a situation, it was said from the opposition that invitations are not given to Mahakumbh, rather people themselves participate in Mahakumbh in Prayagraj because of their faith and devotion. However, Yogi Adityanath also gave a befitting reply that it is unnecessary to give importance to such people who have considered attacking the Hindu faith as the aim of their life.
Meanwhile, a double game is being played by the Samajwadi Party. On one hand, supporters are installing the statue of SP founder and former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav in Prayagraj Mahakumbh, while on the other hand, party chief Akhilesh Yadav himself takes a dig at the BJP leaders by saying that some people go to bathe in the Ganga, some go to donate. And some people go to wash away their sins. We will go for charity and we will go for charity.
While giving a balanced statement regarding Mahakumbh, BSP chief Mayawati also indulged in politics. It has been said that in UP also, in the interest of the people suffering from poverty, unemployment and inflation etc., the government should also start some such schemes so that the poor youth can get relief. He said that if this is done then Mahakumbh will be a great gift for these poor people. State Congress President Ajay Rai says that organizing Mahakumbh is our tradition of thousands of years, there is no tradition of invitation in it and there is no need for it. This is a matter of faith, we will also go and take bath.
