Materials for Maa Lakshmi Puja: During the Mahalakshmi fast, collect all the materials for the worship including Kalash, ghee, lamp, fruits, flowers, betel nut, turmeric knot, roli, kumkum, camphor, panchamrit, betel leaf, red cloth, 16 makeup items, incense sticks, coconut, kheer.
Mahalakshmi Vrat: Worship Method
Wake up early in the morning on the first day of Mahalaxmi Vrat.
After bathing, wear clean clothes.
After cleaning the temple, place a small stool at the place of worship.
Spread a red cloth on this stool.
Now install the idol of Goddess Lakshmi on top.
Offer red chunri and clothes to Maa Lakshmi.
After this, offer her 16 items of makeup.
Light a lamp in front of the Mother.
Offer fruits, flowers, incense, lamps and offerings to Goddess Lakshmi.
Fill the Kalash with water, place a coconut on top and install the Kalash.
After this, worship Goddess Lakshmi in a proper manner. Chant the mantras.

Rules of Mahalakshmi Vrat:
The fast of Mahalakshmi is observed for 16 days. During this period, consumption of sour and salty foods is prohibited.
