This festival is celebrated every year in Phalgun month and the month of Phalgun is said to be the best for Shiva worship. Pooja recitation and fasting on Mahashivaratri also prevents sorrows.
This year, the fast of Mahashivaratri will be celebrated on Wednesday, 26 February. On this day, during the worship of Lord Shiva, some things should not be offered on the Shivling or else Mahadev gets angry and the bad days of the seeker start, then we are telling you about them.
Do not offer these things to Mahadev –
On the day of Mahashivaratri, God should not forget and offer basil leaf. It is believed that by offering Tulsi on Shivling, God can be angry and a person may have to suffer. Apart from this, coconut should not be offered on Shivling nor offer coconut water. By doing this, Mahadev can be angry.
On the day of Mahashivaratri, do not forget to offer fragmented akshat on the Shivling day, by doing so, there is trouble in life. Kumkum and Roli should not be used in Shiva worship. Doing this may have to face problems. Also avoid offering turmeric to Mahadev. Offering these things to Lord Shiva may have to face sorrows.
