On this day there is a special tradition of bathing, donating and worshiping. It is believed that doing Surya Sadhana on the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti gives the blessing of health and reduces sorrow and distress.
This year the festival of Makar Sankranti is being celebrated on 14th January i.e. today. By worshiping Lord Suryadev properly on this auspicious day, one gets the blessings of health and the troubles go away, along with this, if the Aarti of Lord Suryadev is recited after the worship today, then God becomes pleased and fulfills all the wishes of the devotees. White lotus bearer.
You are four armed.
You have seven horses,
Spread millions of rays.

When you are in the early morning,
Udayachal comes.
Everyone would get darshan then.

The whole world wakes up then.
Then everyone should praise.

In every house and every courtyard.
