Let us tell you that on the day of Margashirsha Amavasya, donate black sesame, black rice, black lentils and black clothes for the ancestors. By doing this the ancestors become pleased and bless them and Pitru Dosha is eliminated. If Havan ritual is performed on the day of Amavasya, one gets fourfold results. Also, to complete the work, perform the Yagya with determination. It is considered best to take bath in Ganga on this day, but if you cannot take bath in Ganga then mix Ganga water in bathing water and take bath. By doing this one gets relief from all diseases.
On the day of Margashirsha Amavasya, light a four-sided lamp of mustard oil near the entrance of the house in the evening. By doing this Goddess Lakshmi enters the house. Worship the Peepal tree on Amavasya Tithi in Brahma Muhurta or Abhijeet Muhurta, by doing this the ancestors get pacified.
