According to the Hindu calendar, this time the Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Paush month is starting on Monday, January 6 at 6.23 pm. This date will end on Tuesday, January 7 at 4:26 pm. In such a situation, if Udaya Tithi is considered then Durgashtami fast will be observed on 7th January.
According to religious beliefs, on this auspicious day, wake up early in the morning and take bath etc. After this, take a pledge to fast and worship Goddess Durga and worship the Mother as per the rituals, offer food to the Mother Goddess and finally perform the Aarti of the Mother Goddess. Make sure to recite Durga Chalisa on this day, by doing this the Mother Goddess becomes happy.
